   Las Vegas is the most populous city in the state of Nevada. Las Vegas was established in 1905 and officially became a city in 1911. The Las Vegas climate is a Desert climate with hot summers, mild winters, year long sunshine and very occasional rainfall. Las Vegas summers are brutal with June through September days having typical temperatures over 100 °F. Most people visiting Las Vegas in the summer time cope with the heat by planning to stay indoors during the peak heat. The Las Vegas Monorail is the newest and most fun way to travel along the Las Vegas Strip. The once white hot Las Vegas housing market has cooled a bit now that Las Vegas median home prices have approach that of the National Average.
