Downtown Las Vegas needed something to help counter the growing tendency of visitors going to The Strip instead of Downtown. The help turned out to be the Fremont Street Experience. The Fremont Street Experience is a 1,500-foot-long LED display show on a canopy 90 feet high above five blocks of Downtown Las Vegas. The Fremont Street Experience is a joint venture between Downtown Las Vegas Hotels and the city of Las Vegas. The show is periodic sound-and-light presentations after dark, and a concert stages. The Neon Museum at the Fremont Street Experience display the old neon signs that came down during remodeling periods.
